Water-saving methods for hand-washing cloth towels

Hand-washing cloth towels is an economical and environmentally friendly cleaning method, especially suitable for washing a small amount of cloth towels. In order to save water during hand washing, the following methods can be adopted:
Soaking pretreatment: Before washing, soak the cloth towels in water containing a small amount of detergent, which can soften stains and reduce the amount of water and time required for subsequent washing.
Batch washing: Divide the cloth towels into several batches and wash only a part each time, so as to avoid using too much water at one time. At the same time, the cloth towels can be classified and washed according to the degree of dirtiness. Dirty cloth towels should be washed more times, and clean cloth towels should be washed less times.
Use water-saving containers: Choose a basin or bucket of appropriate size for washing, and avoid using too large a container to waste water. You can use a large basin to soak the cloth towels, and then use a small basin for scrubbing and rinsing.
Reasonable use of detergent: Use an appropriate amount of detergent and avoid excessive use, because too much detergent will increase the number of rinsing times, thereby wasting water resources. Choosing high-efficiency, low-foaming detergents can reduce water consumption.
Scrubbing skills: When scrubbing a cloth towel, you can first soak the cloth towel with a small amount of water, then add detergent and scrub it with your hands or a washboard. When scrubbing, you can use the local scrubbing method to focus on the stained area instead of scrubbing the entire cloth towel repeatedly.
Multiple rinsing method: When rinsing, you can use the method of multiple small amounts of water, that is, rinse with a small amount of water each time, and then change the water after rinsing. This can effectively remove detergent residues and save water at the same time.
Secondary use of washing water: The water after washing the cloth towel can be used for other cleaning purposes such as mopping the floor and flushing the toilet, realizing multiple uses of water and further saving water resources.
Natural drying: Try to choose the natural drying method and avoid using a dryer. Natural drying not only saves energy, but also extends the service life of the cloth towel and reduces the frequency of replacement, thereby indirectly saving water resources.
