How To Get Mold Out Of Cloth Placemats

Here are some ways to remove mold from cloth placemats:
Sunlight
Dry the placemats in direct sunlight to kill mold spores. However, avoid leaving them in the sun for too long, as the heat can make them stiff and damage them.
Hot water
Wash the placemats in hot water, around 60°C, for 10–30 minutes. Before washing, check the care label to make sure hot water is suitable.
Vinegar
Apply white vinegar to the mold and brush it off with a toothbrush. Vinegar is a less toxic solution that's safe for most materials.
Baking soda
Sprinkle baking soda on the fabric to remove mold and mildew. Baking soda also acts as an air freshener.
Bleach
Apply bleach directly to the mold or pre-soak the fabric in bleach. Bleach is effective at killing mold, but it can fade colored fabrics. Wear gloves and work in a ventilated area when using bleach.
Borax
Stir borax with hot water and use it as a laundry detergent to remove mold and mildew.
Lemon juice
Vacuum the stain to remove dry material, then squeeze lemon juice into a bowl and dampen cotton pads with it. Place the pads on the stain for 10 minutes, then remove them and let the area air dry.
